I love to photograph places and I love to design buildings. The combination of both has led to a lot of photographing and a lot of exploring, both in nature and in the cities our buildings live. Best of all I have had opportunities to design and photograph buildings I have designed. Understanding context, composition, form and space is at the center of what I see through the lens of a camera, which is also how I approach the buildings I design. Whether a subject matter is along a trail in the woods, or on the streets of the city, I love to explore, share and experience both.

This experience and his knowledge of architecture is what make his approach to photography unique.
